Our Scriptures Also Say That It Can Be Worn All The Time Without Any Restrictions, Thus This Is A Choice Of The Wearer. Rudraksha Only Has Positive Effects And No Negative Effects On The Wearer.
• The Mala Should Be Taken Off During Sexual Intercourse And While Visiting Funeral Grounds. If You Have Worn A Rudraksha During Any Of The Mentioned Activities, You Can Simply Wash The Rudraksha, Touch It To A Shivling And Chant ‘Om Namah Shivaye’ 11 Times And Wear The Rudraksha Again. Rudraksha Does Not Have Any Negative Effects So Be Rest Assured.
• Rudraksha Can Be Removed During Women’s Monthly Cycle If They Wish To, But There Are No Such Restrictions Mentioned In Our Scriptures. We At Rudralife Suggest Women To Wear Rudraksha For As Long As Possible Without Any Hesitation.
• Avoid Wearing The Mala During Bathing As Soap Water Dehydrates The Beads.
• Keep Your Rudraksha Clean Using Water And A Soft Brush Once In A Month Or Two And Also Oil It Using Almond Oil. One Can Use Camphor Powder Once A Month On The Rudraksha To Avoid Insects Feeding On The Beads But This Generally Happens When Mala Is Not Being Worn Regularly And Is Kept In An Isolated Location For Long Periods Of Time.
• One Should Avoid Wearing A Rudraksha Mala Worn By Others As Well As Keep A Mala Seperate For Japa And A Separate Mala For Wearing.
• One Can Wear Rudraksha While Visiting The Washroom, Only For Comfort Purposes, Can One Remove And Wear It After The Activity.

There are several myths surrounding Rudraksha.

For example, it is said that if a Rudraksha bead is placed between two copper coins, then the bead should rotate. This is incorrect, as any round object having multiple protrusions will rotate between two coins.

Some advocate that Rudraksha beads should sink in water. But this is also incorrect as even an unripe but genuine Rudraksha bead may float in the water, and a fake one made out of wood/berry may sink. The density of a seed depends on its maturity. Therefore, we should not consider these tests as a correct way of identification.
